Where FavouriteTable shines
Let’s be fair, because FavouriteTable has earned a good reputation.
They’ve been trading since 2010, have processed over 18 million bookings, and claim 99.9% uptime. In April 2026 they won Booking, Ordering and Payment Solution of the Year at the Caterer’s Supplier Awards. That’s recent, independent recognition, not a self-awarded badge, and it counts.
Their support is the thing customers praise most. Reviews consistently describe a small UK-based team that answers the phone and knows who you are. If you value a supplier you can actually speak to rather than a ticket queue, that’s a genuine strength and it’s hard for a larger vendor to replicate.
They’re also unusually flexible at the very low end. Alongside a permanently free tier, they offer FT Flex at £2 per cover as true pay-as-you-go, which is a sensible option for a restaurant that takes few bookings and would rather not hold a subscription at all. We don’t offer anything equivalent.
They have real traction in pubs and multi-site pub and restaurant groups, not just restaurants, and their suite extends into online ordering and QR table ordering, which we don’t cover.
What makes Resos different
The features you need aren’t reserved for the top tier. On FavouriteTable, the visual floor plan and table management start at FT Pro, £129 per month. Waitlist management only arrives at FT Ultimo, £199 per month. With Resos, the drag-and-drop floor plan and waitlist are part of the core booking features on every plan, including the free one. Resos Basic is £39 per month, or £31 a month on annual billing, and Unlimited is £119, still below the FavouriteTable tier where the waitlist first appears.
The free plan has no strings. FavouriteTable’s free tier is capped at 30 online bookings a month and requires FavouriteTable to be your sole booking provider. The Resos free plan covers 25 bookings a month with no exclusivity condition, so you can run it alongside anything else while you make up your mind.
No per-cover option to trip over. FavouriteTable headlines “no per-cover fees”, and that’s true of the subscription tiers, but FT Flex is explicitly charged at £2 per cover. Resos has no per-cover pricing at all, on any plan or channel.
It works beyond the UK. FavouriteTable is a UK-only product, marketed in the UK, priced in pounds, in English. Resos supports 17 languages and prices in pounds, euros, kroner, and more. If you have a site abroad, or serve guests who’d rather book in their own language, that matters.

Resos tends to work well for restaurants that:

- Would rather not accept an exclusivity condition to use a free plan
- Operate outside the UK, or serve guests in more than one language
- Want to trial a new system alongside their current one
- Prefer pricing tiered by booking volume rather than by feature set
FavouriteTable may well be the better choice if you’re a UK pub or group that wants reservations, online ordering, and QR table ordering from one British supplier with famously hands-on phone support. That’s a real and reasonable preference. If you’re mainly paying for a tier to unlock a waitlist, it’s worth comparing the total.
