This document describes Resos’ use and protection of your personal data. Resos ApS is the company behind Resos available at resos.com, app.resos.com and the Resos native mobile apps for iOS and Android.

The following mentions Resos ApS, Resos, our websites, domain and apps, as “Resos”.

When you visit Resos, one of our domains or one of our apps will automatically collect data about your visit. This could for example be regarding which pages you open up, if you have been on that page before, and which website or search-engine you came from.

It is a requirement that you must be 13 years old to be able to use Resos.

Data collected automatically

The data that we automatically collect from your visit is not personal. In other words, the data is not used to identify you as a person, but is used to follow the tendencies in consumer behaviour in general.

In the following, you can read how we collect data from your visit, why we do it and how your information is protected.

Each time you visit one or more of our websites, we automatically collect information about your visit. These include among others:

  • Which webpage did you visit first
  • If you’ve been here before
  • The duration of your visit
  • Which webpage you came from
  • Which keywords you used in the search engine
  • Which pages you visit
  • IP address of your visit
  • Operating system, browser type and version
  • Screen resolution and number of colors your computer uses
  • JavaScript and Flash support
  • Language, country and region/city

This information is collected through the use of cookies and log files. Most other websites collect the same information, so it is quite common practice.

Disclosure of data in Resos

All data you create and register in Resos is treated confidentially, unless it is data that is made publicly available, e.g. on a user profile or a restaurant profile. This means that only selected employees at Resos and our subcontractors can get access to the data.

If you use Resos to reserve a table or otherwise communicate with a restaurant that is on or uses Resos, your name, phone number and e-mail will be shared with the restaurant, as well as any information we may have about your food and drink preferences, including allergies and similar matters. The restaurant is afterwards responsible for how it handles your data.

When you log in to Resos, you log in via a so-called secure connection, encrypted with SSL.

Why we collect information about your visit

We use the non-personal information from cookies and log files to understand how you and other visitors use our websites.

We measure e.g. which pages visitors found useful and not useful. It helps us to develop further and improve our websites in order to become more user-friendly and relevant.

Data collected on visitor behavior and trends are used both internally and publicly for marketing purposes, such as reports on trends with figures from visitor statistics. Data published in this way is collected from all or larger groups of visitors. They do not contain information that could identify you personally.

Your personal information is protected

The personal information that we collect is stored safe and confidential. Access to this data is limited to selected employees at Resos, restaurants you communicate with, and our subcontractors, if necessary.

Even though we try to secure your data the best we can, we cannot guarantee the security of your data when it is transmitted via the internet. When data is transmitted via the internet, there is a risk that others may access it, unauthorizedly. Therefore, the security of your data is your own responsibility during the transfer via the internet.

Your data will not be disclosed to third parties without your permission, unless law enforcement or similar authorities request it.

Disclosure and deletion of personal data

If you wish to have your personal data consigned, deleted or removed please write an email to hi@resos.com and we will forward or erase your personal data as per your request.
