Close online bookings for rest of the day

We all know the feeling. You’re handling all bookings by manually accepting or declining whenever a booking gets into the system. All of a sudden, the restaurant is full of guests because there has been a lot of walk-ins on top of online bookings. Now it’s going to take a lot of work to decline all of the bookings you receive for the rest of the day. But don’t worry. With resOS’ restaurant reservation system, it is possible to close online booking for the rest of the day – by just one simple click in the system.

How to close online booking for the day on resOS

By just a single click you can close online bookings for the rest of the day. We have introduced the “Close bookings for today” button on your overview so it’s fast to close for online bookings for the rest of the day.

You can find the ‘close bookings for today’ button on the booking overview (List & Schedule) as long as you are on the current day. As shown below, a white icon with a checkmark means that booking is handled as normal. Thereby, you will still receive online bookings. A yellow icon with a cross indicates that bookings are closed for the day. See the picture below to know what it looks like in the system.

You can easily switch between closing and opening for online bookings. The only thing you have to do is to click the icon once and it will change the status.
