What's new: Partial refunds & table optimization

Two changes to how you handle money and tables, plus a booking timer that finally tells you something useful.

Refund part of a payment

Refunds are no longer all or nothing. Open the booking, go to the payment section, hit Refund, and type the amount you want to give back. Resos caps it at the remaining balance and marks the booking Partially Refunded, so your team can see what went back.

Free up seats with one click

A party of two lands on a six-top and blocks a bigger group later in the night. Hit Optimize in the top bar of the bookings page, in List or Schedule view, and Resos reads the whole day, then suggests table moves that free up seats.

Nothing moves until you say so. Each move is tagged with the seats it frees, and the dialog shows your seat usage before and after. Tick the ones you want, skip the rest, then Apply changes.

A booking timer that means something

The old timer called almost every booking “On time”, including ones hours away. Now it tells you who is actually late, how long a table has been sat, and when it is running over its planned end.

Not for you? There is a Hide booking timer toggle under Settings & add-ons > Managing bookings.

Resos now speaks Latvian

Latvian is live in the dashboard and on your guest-facing booking page and widget, joining the rest of the language pack.

Also in this release

• Password resets and team invites now arrive with a real Resos layout and a proper button.
• Fixed: the Recurrence label no longer sits on top of its value in the special opening hours form.
• Fixed: custom field names no longer overlap the Select placeholder on single-choice drop-downs, in both the booking widget and the staff booking form.
