Billing for multiple locations

This guide explains how billing works when you run more than one location in Resos. Connecting the locations is covered in how to set up the multiple locations add-on.

Before you start

Multiple locations is a paid add-on, so every location you connect needs a paid plan of its own. It cannot be activated on the Free plan. You also need owner or admin access to each of those locations on the same login. Prices are not listed here because they change: see our pricing page.

One plan and one bill per location

Each location is its own Resos profile, with its own plan, its own booking limit and its own invoices. The add-on connects the profiles for your guests in the booking flow; it does not merge them into one subscription or one bill. So if you run three locations on paid plans, you pay for three plans and you get three sets of invoices, one per profile.

There is no group or chain invoice, and no way to put several locations on one subscription. A plan belongs to one profile, and so does an Annual All-Access bundle: a bundle bought for one location does not cover the add-ons on another. Each profile’s invoices are under MenuSettings & add-onsAccountBilling on that profile, so switch to a location to see what it is being charged.

What happens to the add-on when you connect a location

The add-on itself is charged per location, unless a location is on an Annual All-Access plan, which already includes every paid add-on. Like other paid add-ons it starts with a free trial before the subscription begins: see how add-on billing and free trials work.

When you save a connection, the Multiple locations add-on is switched on for every restaurant in that connection that is already on a paid plan. A location still on the Free plan has to be upgraded first, because a paid add-on needs a running subscription on that profile. Resos does not stop you saving a connection with a Free-plan location in it: the connection itself saves, but the add-on simply stays off for that location, and the dashboard shows no error to tell you so. Upgrading that location’s plan does not switch the add-on on by itself: after the upgrade, open the connection and save it again, or activate Multiple locations from that location’s own dashboard. If a connected location is not behaving like the others, check its plan first. Take a location out of the connection, or delete the connection, and the add-on is switched off again for those locations.

Closing one location

For the off-season. A pause applies to one subscription, so pause from inside that location’s own dashboard. The other locations keep running and keep being invoiced. See how to pause your subscription for a seasonal closure.

For good. Switch to that location, then cancel its subscription there. The other locations are unaffected, and canceling one profile does not close your Resos account. See how to close or delete your Resos account.
