Take your booking page offline for an extended closure
This assumes you already know how to close bookings for a single day or a date range - see close online bookings for the rest of the day first.
If you are closing for weeks or months, or you are not sure yet when you will reopen, closing individual dates one at a time is the wrong tool. Take the booking page offline instead.
Go to Menu → Settings & add-ons → Bookings → Managing bookings → New online bookings and turn on Disable booking page & widget. Guests can no longer book online through your booking page or widget, and you and your staff can still add bookings manually in the system. Turn the switch off again when you are ready to reopen.
A few things worth knowing:
- Your booking page and widget update immediately.
- Reserve with Google needs this setting to be off. While the booking page and widget are disabled, Google will not be able to offer your times either, and listings elsewhere can take a while to catch up with the change. Plan for a bit of overlap rather than flipping the switch on the last evening.
- Links to your booking page are still shown inside the app.
See how to add the booking widget to your website for more about the booking page and widget.
